This article was written by my friend David Haynes, who owns a roofing company. It’s good advice from an honest family man. Top Hat Roofing, Inc. offers free estimates in the Atlanta area.
People don’t realize the amount of damage that occurred last spring. Several storms in a period of four weeks brought damaging hail from Cumming to Covington and from Gainesville to Lilburn. These storms caused damage to roof tops that homeowners are unaware of, and can only be found by close inspection.
Insurance companies have been paying to replace entire roofing systems on residential and commercial buildings. They know that hail damage may go unnoticed for months or even years, and by then the repairs become much more costly. This is why they are so willing to pay now, while the cost is relatively inexpensive.
Because I actually meet with insurance adjusters, I am able to negotiate with them to get higher pay-outs on claims. Often times, I am able to get a new roof for a homeowner at literally no cost to them what so ever. Sometimes I actually am able to get a “free” roof and a little extra cash to the owner.
Time may be running out though. Insurance companies only accept claims twelve months from the storm. After that -it is too late. No more free roof. March 15th is the deadline for most of Atlanta. However, the storms on February 18 brought more hail, and another chance to move on this opportunity.
My company, Top Hat Roofing Inc.,was established in 1996 and, unlike the out of town “storm chasers” who will be gone again in 6 – 12 months, we are not going anywhere. We specialize in residential and commercial roofing, including storm damage and insurance claims.
You know and trust me. Call today for a free inspection of your roof. If you have damage, I may be able to get you a freebie! David Haynes 770-294-8619
