Did You Know? CFL Disposal

Compact Florescent Light bulbs can be found in many homes today. While the initial cost can be high, the cost savings over time will be reflected in not having to replace them every few months and in lower utility bills. When we bought our home, we splurged & bought them for every fixture in the house. Since we had our daughter & son-in-law living in the finished basement and a steady stream of company visiting from Tennessee, we knew we’d start saving right off the bat.

Our Green (Re)Start

We have just bought a house.  It’s beautiful, with not much cosmetic work to do before we move in. For a 13 year old house that has been vacant for two years, it’s in remarkably good shape. With a little decorating and some planning to make it more energy efficient, this is going to be a home to be proud of for years to come.
