Think it’s too expensive to go green?  Think again!

2“GREEN” is everywhere these days – green living, green renovation, green T.V.; even President Obama is on the green bandwagon. But this is not the hippie movement of yesteryear. Today’s green initiative is comprehensive and comfortable, even if you’re on a budget.

This is not just about water quality, landfills and global warming. It’s also about the quality of life (health) you have as a result of living in your environment. Green living begins with an awareness of your surroundings and what you are doing to contribute to it – GOOD or BAD . Everything we do has an impact our environment, from the products we buy (processing, packaging & transportation) to the consumption and disposal of those products.

In this series, I’m going to be taking a look at different ways ordinary folks like you and I can take steps beyond our municpal recycling programs to better not only our environment, but our quality of life. The important thing to remember is that you don’t have to go “all-out” and change everything you do. There are small steps you can take to get started that cost little or no money, yet make an impact. You may even find that you are actually saving money once you begin implementing the ideas I’ll be sharing in the next few weeks!
